The Cats visited Los Altos on Wednesday looking to lock down a league title. Senior captain Kelli Keady got the scoring started in the first half, winning the ball at midfield, dribbling down the left side into the box, turning the corner on the defense, and chipping the ball into the right side of the net past the retrieving keeper. Later in the half, the Cats scored again, when Keady again took the ball down the left side, outpaced two defenders, and nudged a right-footed cross to junior Niki Krockenberger, who buried it in the net. The Cats held on for the 2 – 0 win.

The win moves the Cats to 9-1-1 in league play (14-1-3 overall) and secures a league title for the first time since the 2012-2013 season. They finish the regular season Friday night, hosting the Santa Clara Bruins, before readying themselves for a playoff run.
