Greg McDougal was brought on as the full time head athletic trainer of Los Gatos High school in August of 2017. Greg became a certified athletic trainer in 2015 after completing his bachelor’s of science degree with emphasis in athletic training from California State University, Northridge. He worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at San Jose State University for football and cheerleading from 2015-2017.

Greg was a teacher at Foothill College for the 2017-2018 academic school year. He taught kinesiology/sports medicine dual enrollment college level courses at Fremont High School. Greg plans to bring these courses to Los Gatos High School for the 2019 Academic School year to start a healthcare/ medical career pathway for high school students.

He holds a membership with the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) as well as the California Athletic Trainers’ Association (CATA). Greg is also certified by the Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC) for athletic trainers. He holds a certification for Technica Gavilan PTB as well as Rockblades for soft tissue manual therapy and is certified in CPR/AED for professional rescuer and health care provider.
